S.C.R.E.A.M.

We absolutely love our Interns, they work hard to help us reach our mission. Congrats to our Intern Graduates Alexis Oliver from UNCG, Sopheea Mink from HPU, and Jordan Thompson from Greensboro College all of whom we will miss dearly, but we know that they are moving forward doing great things!

We are also super proud to have our former Senior intern returning to assist in a different department and role from UNCG Ms. Destiny Thompson.

One of our interns, Brent Archie created a budgeting workshop to help women gain the basic knowledge of understanding how to save and take steps to become financially free! It was an honor to present Mr. Archie a graduate student from UNCG with a medal for his community service hours given to our organization.

We are continuously collecting gently used to brand new purses for our Purse for Change Project, if you have any purses and or products such as feminine napkins, tampons, wipes, shampoo, body wash, etc, please contact us and we can arrange a drop-off or will gladly pick them up from you. Thank you to all our donors, including but not limited to United Health Care, New Appearance Beauty Salon, Mr. and Mrs. Washington, Queen Esther Sisters, Mr., and Mrs. Oliver, Alexis and Auri Oliver, Mr., and Mrs. Alverson

S.C.R.E.A.M. stands for Strength, Courage, Reflection, Experience, Affirmation, and Manageability. The goal of this program is to help women build up confidence within themselves. It is our mission that we empower women to learn to self-care while they care for all their other needs at the same time. Self-care matters. A big part of taking care of one’s self is to have the confidence to do so. This two-day program helps girls and women develop the essential skills needed to not be apologetic for being confident in who they are and to never be afraid to express their opinions and listen to their bodies. We provide various critical self-care resources in a two-day workshop that incorporates every aspect of a woman’s life to aid in her physical, emotional, mental, health and nutrition, and spiritual well-being. Girls and women often neglect these areas and suffer for it in their physical and mental capacity. At the end of the workshop, all participants are provided mentors and extension resources within the community to continue to develop the skills they need to maintain optimal mental and physical well-being. Serving women ages 18 and up.
